Paul Prather to speak at Campbellsville University on October 12

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Paul Prather, pastor of Bethesda Church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, is scheduled to speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel service on October 12.

Prather has been an ordained minister for 35 years and is an accomplished writer.

In addition to serving as a contributing columnist for the Lexington Herald-Leader, he is the author of four books, including A Memory of Firelight: Selected Columns from the Lexington Herald Leader.

During his time as a Herald-Leader staff writer from 1988 to 1997, in which he chiefly covered the religion beat, Prather came into contact with everyone from Billy Graham to Billy Ray Cyrus to the Dalai Lama.

Prather has acquired a number of awards for his journalism and fiction writing. He currently lives in Mount Sterling with his wife, Liz, and likes dedicating time to spending time with his grandchildren.
