New business account manager
We have an excellent opportunity for a New Business Account Manager in the Retirement Plans department. The New Business Account Manager works in the New Business unit within the Retirement Plan Services division. The person in this position reviews data received from prior carriers to build plans in our administrative and recordkeeping systems in accordance with regulatory and division guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, building new plans in the administrative system, reconciliation of assets and working with the Relationship Managers to allow for the coordination of data between the prior carrier and Ohio National. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Set up the plan, funds, sources, participants and control files within the recordkeeping system
· Transition all new clients from prior carriers (takeover plans)
· Understand the Adoption Agreement to properly set up the plan on the recordkeeping system
· Reconcile plans to make sure the recordkeeping system and administrative system are in balance
· Work with peers within the division to allow for the setup of contributions submitted by the employer
· Document actions taken on the plans in the imaging system
· Work with internal personnel to ensure the client’s plan is handled accurately and professionally

The ideal candidate will have the following:
· A minimum of three years of experience in retirement plan administration
· A bachelor’s degree in business is preferred
· ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator Designation (or equivalent) is preferred
· Familiarity with and capability to interpret plan document and product contract provisions
· A willingness to complete LOMA ACS Retirement designation within 2 years
· A willingness to complete any industry related course required by the IRS, DOL or other regulatory agency

Senior retirement plan representative – client services
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Retirement Plan Representative – Client Services in the Retirement Plans department. The Senior Retirement Plans Representative, Client Services serves our customers including plan sponsors, participants, third party administrators and advisors) by phone and email. The representative is also responsible for creating a competitive advantage for the company by assisting in all processes related to the issue and administration of group variable annuity contracts. This includes, but is not limited to, fact finding, problem resolution and processing. This individual will also be required to assist and support customers with questions related to websites, contracts, processes, procedures and services. The person in this position requires FINRA Series 6 License, as the individual is required to take trade requests via phone. Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Provide support regarding in-force group annuity contracts. Differentiate between contract versions in-force and currently offered and be able to explain their features
· Take trade requests and ensure they are in good order to reduce the likelihood of a costly back-date correction
· Successfully answer incoming telephone inquiries including requests for general account information, questions related to contributions and withdrawals, how to make changes to an account, product information and tax questions pertaining to 1099R or 5498 forms
· Assist plan sponsors, TPAs, participants and advisors in navigating our web-sites
· Walk clients through the website registration process
· Process enrollment kits, address changes, authorizations, returned mail and enrollments
· Assist with other projects assigned by the leadership team

The ideal candidate will have the following:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
· FINRA Series 6 License
· A willingness to take LOMA courses, such as LOMA 281, LOMA 291, LOMA SRI 111 and LOMA SRI 12, and obtain ACS designation

Accountant – balance sheet acct ownership

The person in this position is responsible for developing and maintaining a corporate-wide balance sheet account ownership inventory and reconciliation tracking process. This position is critical to the close process as it provides an additional level of assurance to senior management that financial statements are complete and accurate.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Information Technology department. The responsibilities of the Software Engineer include developing advanced applications and software enhancements, system interfaces and responsibility for the full software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of client systems and business processes. Incumbents provide support to multiple applications and systems and work on major, critical or complex development projects. The individual in this position may work independently, on a team or as a project lead to a group of same or subordinate level staff. The Software Engineer may serve as recognized subject matter experts or as technical experts on the specialized systems to which they are assigned.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information systems or related field
· Seven to 12 years of experience in a software engineering role
· Experience in developing Java multi-threaded applications

Actuarial analyst – special projects
We have an excellent opportunity for a Actuarial Analyst – Special Projects in the Actuarial department.
The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for executing projects identified in the Actuarial Financial Reporting area. The person in this role is assigned projects that support the organization’s change management and transformation activities. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Identify problems by discovering symptoms. Execute solutions to problems by understanding root causes and collaborating with Actuarial Financial Reporting (AFR) Line Actuaries, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Actuarial Information R&D and with inter-department staff.
· Improve existing processes, analytics and reports
· Improve PolySystems infrastructure for existing products and support new products, reinsurance treaties, system changes, and accounting requirements
· Develop test plans and execute tests to ensure work product meets department standards (process, time, quality, reproducibility)
· Develop controls for new processes to meet internal and external control and audit standards. Work with internal and external audit
· Document how the product is to be used and what testing was performed to get comfortable with the results
· Complete ad-hoc requests by understanding customer need and context (e.g., business reason, line of business, product variants, data integrity) and working with Actuarial Information R&D

The ideal candidate will have the following:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Passed at least one actuarial exam, actively pursuing additional actuarial exams
· Willing to learn new information, including Ohio National product features
