WHO IS MDA
MDA, www.mda.mil, is a Department of Defense research, development and test agency. Our mission - which is one of the most complex and challenging in our country's history - is to develop, test, and field an integrated, layered, ballistic missile defense system (BMDS) to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends against all ranges of enemy ballistic missiles in all phases of flight.

www.usajobs.gov. Candidates selected for these entry level positions with the MDA will become a part of a robust 3 year developmental training program called the Missile Defense Career Development Program (MDCDP) beginning after their graduation.
WHAT IS THE MDCDP
The three year MDCDP is a fully paid (federal civil service with full benefits) intensive educational, technical and on the job training program which allows employees a hands on approach to gain specific skills and experience to put them on a fast track for career success. In their first three years at MDA, MDCDP participants will move through several rotations, generally 9 months each, in major areas of the MDA related to their individual career discipline. MDCDP participants will have an individualized developmental plan specific to them which includes both a supervisor and an assigned mentor who will help in evaluating opportunities for personal and professional growth. This program is all about providing participants the opportunity to develop their professional skills and support the important mission of the Missile Defense Agency. Nineteen positions will be located in Huntsville, AL on the Redstone Arsenal (www.asmartplace.com) and one position in Dahlgren, Virginia. All positions with MDA require US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance.

These positions require a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field; with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent), from an accredited institution of higher education authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees;
At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
