Adult CPR (CPR): This course will teach you to recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help a person until more advanced care arrives to take over. The course also covers adult choking and naloxone. 2 year certification

Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP): This course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. 1 year certification (per OSHA)

Basic First Aid (BFA): Designed to meet OSHA regulations, this course covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. 2 year certification

Training includes:

  • Manikins that have assistive feedback lights so each student receives instant confirmation for depth of compression and proper rate. This hands-on advantage results in real personal confidence.
  • Training AED’s for practice by everyone provides adequate hands-on experience using life-like scenarios.
  • Knee pads for comfort.
  • DVD and Discussion to engage attendees in conversation on specific topics.
  • A CPR/AED & Bloodborne Pathogen nationally recognized certification card will be issued.
  • CEU's for Plumbing & HVAC if needed (as required by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction - Division of Plumbing and Division of HVAC).

The CPR & First Aid courses satisfies OSHA Regulation 1910.151 which states: “In the absence of an infirmary, clinic or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render First Aid.” The Bloodborne Pathogens class satisfies OSHA regulation 1910.1030 which requires that bloodborne pathogens training be provided at least annually to employees who have a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties (i.e. First Aid Provider)
