CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Denine LeBlanc’s ensemble, Les Six, will present a guest recital on Tuesday, March 1 at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall inside Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive in Campbellsville.

The public is invited to the free concert that was originally planned for Feb. 9 but was postponed due to the weather.

In October of 2015, a group of wind players joined pianist, LeBlanc, to perform the “Sextet” by Francis Pulenc on her piano recital at the University of Louisville.

The musicians that joined LeBlanc were, Michele Chapman, French horn, Lynette Davidson, oboe, Tony Smith, clarinet, Nan Tate, bassoon and Tony Watson, flute. After the recital, the musicians mutually agreed that playing chamber music with the piano was exciting.

Motivated by their enjoyment of this genre and sheer love of playing music, the sextet named itself Les Six.
The ensemble hopes to perform a cluster of concerts each semester in the region.

Les Six will be performing works by Poulenc, Hindemith, and Holst.
