Featured Speaker: Dr. Wayne Barnard, Director of Student Ministries for International Justice Mission. The IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression. The IJM lawyers, investigators, and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems. As Director of Student Ministries, Dr. Barnard provides leadership for IJM education initiatives to mobilize students in kindergarten through college in the work of justice. His duties include building and supporting model IJM Campus Chapters, strategizing expansion of student programs and developing relationships with Christian student ministry organizations. Dr. Barnard will also be speaking at CU Chapel on Wednesday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. discussing “Human Rights Issues from a Biblical Perspective.”
