Among varied churches in Taylor County, members share a common belief that Jesus Christ died for us and rose from the dead three days later to claim victory over sin and death.

It is in the spirit of Christian love, unity of the body of Christ, and most importantly gratitude to Jesus Christ for His loving sacrifice that makes us who we are today that we are coming together as a community of faith and celebrating Christ’s final journey to the cross.

We have three evenings of incredible worship coming up on April 1, 2, and 3 each night at 7 p.m. at Ransdell Chapel on the Campbellsville University campus.

We have Bishop C. James King, Jr., serving in Africa of the C.M.E. Church, preaching Wednesday evening; Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of the CU School of Theology bringing us a message about the last supper as we join together in communion Thursday night; and a dramatic Good Friday service depicting the crucifixion and the final words of Christ from the cross.

These services have been planned by a team of about seven churches as well as University leaders in our county and will be led by members of dozens of churches in our community.

Our prayer is that this will awaken our community to the grace of God moving in Taylor County and encourage them to get to your individual congregations Easter morning for the glory of God and the sake of our hurting world.
