Monroe County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences, Tompkinsville, KY RE00684

Location: Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Monroe County is located in Western Kentucky. The Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences will develop and implement a plan of work based on locally identified needs which will lead to improved quality of living for families & individuals. Will plan and implement educational programs which focus on: 1) making healthy choices; 2) nurturing families; 3) embracing life as you age; 4) securing financial stability; 5) promoting healthy homes and communities; 6) accessing nutritious food; and 7) empowering community leaders. Will develop expertise and serve as a resource in family and consumer sciences programming areas including: food and nutrition; family resource management; human development and family relations; health, safety and wellness; leadership development; clothing and textiles; housing and the environment; home based and micro business. Will implement educational programs which strengthen families and individuals. Will develop and implement leadership programs such as Kentucky Extension Homemakers resulting in the development of personal and organizational leadership skills. This position will serve all clientele ensuring that all youth and adults have an equal opportunity to participate in extension programs regardless of race, gender, age, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.

Woodford County Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development, Versailles, KY RE00683

Location: Versailles, Kentucky. Woodford County is located in Central Kentucky.

The Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development will work with the other 4-H Agent to provide leadership and management to the overall 4-H youth development program for Woodford County. Agent responsibilities include: 1) implement a well-rounded program that develops youth through school and community-based programs; 2) recruit and train volunteers leaders to work with youth; 3) utilize and/or develop councils, advisory groups, and committees in programming; 4) jointly share responsibility in community programming around issues involving leadership development, community involvement, local government, community services and other forms of community economic development. This position will serve all clientele ensuring that all youth and adults have an equal opportunity to participate in extension programs regardless of race, gender, age, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
