The Communications Manager: is responsible for leading a team of communications professionals and partnering with stakeholders to develop and implement communication plans that support business objectives and effectively engage internal and external audiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic communication plans that effectively reach internal and external stakeholders. This includes working with clients to assess the situation/need, compiling and analyzing research, outlining an effective communication approach/strategy, developing key messages and FAQs, as well as using appropriate communication tactics and vehicles (e.g., press releases, video, newsletter articles, social media, etc.) to achieve plan goals. Act as a consultant, influencer and strategic thought partner to leadership and business partners to understand audience needs and proactively shape communications. Partner with site leadership and the Executive Communication team to develop and implement executive engagement strategies. Write copy, executive messaging/speeches, media messaging and FAQs and develop presentations and collateral as appropriate. Proactively identify emerging issues and mitigate potential impacts using an integrated approach that takes into account all aspects of communication. Build internal and external relationships to help effectively deliver integrated communication strategies. Participate in continuous improvement process to more quickly and effectively deliver accurate and timely information to key stakeholders, with a focus on the integration of new technology and communication channels.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum of five year’s experience in a communications field. Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and project management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines. Proven ability to maintain confidential information and interface with all levels of Cast, including executives. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize work and work well under pressure .Ability to perform tasks independently with strategic oversight. Ability to learn and adapt to new communications practices and determine ways to apply marketplace trends. Budget tracking capability. Demonstrated ability generating and executing creative ideas. Strong computer proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing communication for both internal and external audiences Experience using social media and new technologies Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent
