Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Determine internal communications plan – ensuring that important top-down and departmental strategies are effectively communicated to all staff

  • Facilitate internal communications across ICSC’s global offices

  • Help foster better employee engagement and create culture change

  • Manage and create content for ICSC’s Intranet and other internal communications initiatives (e.g. all staff emails, blog posts, and video content)  

  • Act as staff “reporter” – be a story miner, uncovering interesting stories that appeal to internal audiences and develop features for internal news channels

  • Monitor and report on employee engagement levels

  • Help ensure ICSC’s brand consistency and compliance

  • Assist on key ICSC communication tools such as the annual report, branding guidelines, news website and research publications.

  • Maintain ICSC’s news website

  • Provide ad hoc marketing copy writing and editing when needed

  • Assist on media initiatives as needed

  • Provide administrative support for the department

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate Degree

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective at multi-tasking and prioritizing

  • Able to work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Extremely professional and conscientious

  • A self-starter who also works well as part of a team

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Design skills a plus (Adobe Creative Suite) and ability to travel as required
