Mary Kutter to perform concert for firefighters at Chick-fil-A Monday

Mary Kutter, a 2014 CU graduate, is performing a benefit concert for the injured firefighters, Alex Quinn and Tony Grider, at 12:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 in Chick-fil-A Express.
The 45-minute show will include songs by Mary, who received the award of the Most Promising Vocalist and Song Writer in Country Music in the North American Country Music Association International. Her website is Please come out and hear Mary's music and support the injured firefighters.

Orders for Beautiful Mums!

The last day to order mums from the CU chapter of the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students (KANS) is Tuesday, Sept. 23. Orders will be ready for pick up on Stapp Lawn from noon to 2 p.m.

The funds go to fund raise money for the State KANS Conference.

Cost: $9.00 each Choice: Yellow, Orange, Lavender, Red, & White (yellow centers)

Homecoming T-shirts for sale

The Society of Professional Journalists is selling Homecoming T-shirts. Orders are being taken at 11 a.m. until noon each day in the Winters Dining Hall foyer. Orders must be taken and paid for by Thursday, Sept. 25 at noon. See Candice Boone or Stan McKinney at (270) 789-5035 for orders. The shirts are maroon with the theme "Let the Good Times ROAR" on the shirt. 

Sunglasses found

A pair of sunglasses has been left on the table in front of Colin McDaniel's office, CH 210. They are now in his office.

The theater department needs your help!

We need old office supplies for our production of 9 to 5, dating from the 1970s and 1980s. The following are specifically needed:

Hole Punchers
Electric Typewriters
Adding Machines

Nothing too modern. If you have any of these things and are willing to let the Theater borrow them, please email Matt Nall ( or Starr Garrett ( and we will have someone come pick up what you have. We only need to borrow it through the second weekend of October (Oct. 12), so we can return your items on Monday the 13th. But if you would like to donate the items, we would love to keep them in our Props collection.
