Prayer walk tomorrow for wrestling facility

Rusty Hollingsworth, director of athletics, invites everyone to the Prayer Walk tomorrow morning in the new wrestling facility at 10 a.m.

The Rev. Tafue Molu Lusama to speak Monday

The Rev. Tafue Molu Lusama, general secretary of the Edalesia Kelisiano Tuvalu (Tuvalu Christian Church), will be the guest speaker during the last Kentucky Heartland Institute on Public Policy (KHIPP) event of the semester Oct. 12.The event will take place on Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. in the Banquet Hall of the Badgett Academic Support Center (BASC) at 110 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky. Everyone is invited free of charge.

Lusama is from the South Pacific island nation of Tuvalu where he was raised in the traditional island style. As being general of the Tuvalu Christian Church, he is helping serve almost 94 percent of the total population. A story on his speaking is at

Campus Times staff meeting is Monday

 There is a meeting on Monday, Oct. 12 at 10 for the Campus Times and anyone interested in writing for the paper. The meeting is in the MAC lab in Carter Hall.

CKAS concert is Monday

The Central Kentucky Arts Series (CKAS) 2015-16 season opens Monday, Oct. 12, with an exciting performance. The Chamber Orchestra Kremlin will perform in The Gheens Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Attached is a flier with more information.

Athletic training department selling reusable hot packs

The Athletic Training Department is selling reusable hot packs for a fundraiser. They will be sold at the football game this weekend and any other time by contacting Scott Baughman, assistant athletic trainer, through the information provided on the flyer. All proceeds are going to help  purchase new equipment and supplies to take care of our athletes here at Campbellsville University.

Jump Start Read for the Record Event on October 21, 2015 in the Beulah Campbell room

The School of Education would like to invite families and children from ages two through eight years old to celebrate this year’s Jump Start Read for the Record Event on October 21, 2015 in the Beulah Campbell room. There will be two sessions, 4:00-5:00 and 5:00-6:00 PM. The activities will include a read aloud, fun activities for children ages birth through eight years old, and a light snack. The children will receive a small gift including this year’s book Not Norman, A Goldfish Story.

 Lost glasses

Congratulations to Zack Wright

Zack Wright won the Scrabble Challenge sponsored by the Office of Counseling Services. The challenge came down to a single word challenge between Zack and Trevor Cook who tied in the first round. Zack won with a 32 point word. Congratulations to Zack Wright!
