Watch party for Grimes-McConnell debate tonight in Banquet Hall

It is important to be an educated voter! There is a watch party of the U.S. Senate Debate between Alison Grimes and Mitch McConnell on Monday, Oct. 13 at 8 pm. This will be held in the BASC Banquet Hall with refreshments provided. All students, faculty, staff and community guests of both parties are welcome to attend. Taren Morse to give presentation regarding character development for movie and game industry


The Art department would like to invite you to a presentation by Taren Morse. The presentation will be Monday, Oct. 20 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the art center room 102.Taren Morse will give a presentation regarding character development for the movie and game industry. If you are interested in how artists design creatures and characters for the entertainment industry, this presentation is for you. Taren Morse is an illustrator and concept artist working on completing her MFA in Concept Illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her focus involves the visual development of characters, environments, and props for the film and game industry.She has studied under many industry professionals including Francis Hsu, who has worked on films such as King Kong,The Avengers, and The Hobbit. Taren works in both traditional and digital media. Her most recent work involves the development of her original fantasy graphic novel,Kindred.Looking forward to seeing you at the presentation.

APA/MLA Formatting workshop — Cite with Certainty

Dale Furkin, instructor in English, will lead an Academic Success Series Workshop on "Cite with Certainty; APA/MLA Formatting"Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. or 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Banquet Hall. You will learn the dos and don't concerning mechanics, tips for citing in-text and the correct set up for a reference page. A flier is attached.
