CKAS to have storytelling event tonight

Octavia Sexton will speak tonight on American and Kentucky history, storytelling and more at 7:30 in the Russ Mobley Theater in the Alumni Building. CU students are free with ID; single tickets are available at the door. See flier.

PRSSA to meet tonight

The Public Relations Student Society of America will meet tonight at 7:30 o’clock downstairs in Carter Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.

Basketball 3-point shootout competition tomorrow

There will be a Basketball 3-point shootout competition in the Student Activities Center tomorrow (Tuesday, the 17th) at 7 PM. The entry fee is $3 (other donations would be welcomed) and ALL the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army charity as a project for a Sports Management class. We hope to see you all there to help make a difference and to have some fun!
Baked goods sale to benefit field/mission trip to Belize in March 2016
Please donate delicious homemade baked goods to help toward funding for a collaborative field/mission trip to Belize in March 2016. Goods need to be in the School of Education workroom by 4 p.m. Friday  Nov. 20 or Monday morning if needed.

Proceeds go to a collaborative field/mission trip to Belize in March 2016.

Christmas tree lighting, candlelight service Dec. 3

A Memorial Christmas Tree Lighting and Candlelight Service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 in front of Ransdell Chapel, Dr. and Mrs. Michael Carter, SGA, BCM, Residence Life, Church Outreach, ISA, CIE and Counseling Services are partnering to host the tree lighting and candlelight service in front of the chapel. Please come and celebrate the lives of individuals who CU students and faculty/staff who have lost in the past year. This is to be a night of healing and celebration. You are invited to attend as “A Tree of Remembrance” is lit. All students are asked to give their names to their Residence Life contact by Monday, November 30th.  

International Fair is Wednesday, Nov. 18

The Center for International Education is hosting its Annual International Education Fair on November 18th from 11:00 to 1:00 in the Student Activities Center (SAC) gymnasium.  This year’s theme is Appetizer around the World. Everyone is welcome to this cultural experience. There will be  cultural presentations, bite size appetizers and cross-cultural learning opportunities.  Undergraduate students will receive convo credit for attending this event.

Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is here

National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is here!  Collections will begin this evening at 6pm at the Taylor County Relay Center (CU Theater Studio behind Tigerville Grill).  Please pray for immeasurably more shoebox gospel opportunities.

Please bring gift-filled shoeboxes to Chapel on Wednesday, 11/18, or drop off your boxes at the Relay Center (hours attached).
