Stapp Hall and South Hall East pairing up for discussion on depression

Stapp Hall and Men's SouthEast Dorm are pairing up to host an event that is relevant to all! The Battle Itself will be held on Nov.13, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the BASC Banquet Hall. The Battle Itself is an event to bring awareness to depression as well as provide a message of hope and healing techniques for all those involved. The event will be hosting guest speaker, Dr. Candyce Roberts, a local of Campbellsville and author of bestselling book "Help for the Fractured Soul." Snacks and chapel credit will be offered!
-Depression affects 18.8 million American adults, or 9.5% of the U.S. population ages 18 and older each year...
-30% of women are depressed. Men's figures are thought to be half of the women's figure, but new estimates are higher...
-15% of depression sufferers will commit suicide...
-Depression will be the second largest killer after heart disease by 2020- and depression is a contributing factor to fatal coronary disease...

SGA having T-shirt contest

Campbellsville University's Student Government Association is sponsoring a T-shirt contest for SGA, and the winners will receive a Kindle Fire HD and a Barnes & Noble gift card.
