Jason and Tara Lawson have baby girl!

Congratulations to Jason and Tara Lawson! The couple announces the birth of a daughter, April 7. She was named Kylie Danielle Lawson; she weighed 7 pounds and 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. Jason is men's housing housing coordinator, and Tara is data specialist in the Office of Student Records. They have another daughter, Sadie, who is 2. A picture of Kylie Danielle is attached.



CKAS to present Ming Ke Trio playing Chinese music tomorrow


The Central Kentucky Arts Series will be hosting the Ming Ke Trio tomorrow (Friday) evening at 7:00 p.m. in Gheens Recital Hall.  This trio of professional musicians will present a program of Chinese music on traditional Chinese instruments.  They now live in Cincinnati and together play seven different instruments.  Admission is free with CU ID.

Rides available to spring formal in Lebanon


Formal is tomorrow! For all students needing a ride, vans will be in front of Stapp Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Tomorrow is last day to turn in FIRST CLASS mentor applications


Friday (tomorrow) is the last day to turn in FIRST CLASS Mentor Applications. All applications need to be dropped off at Sherry Bowen's office no later than 2:00!

Piano Ensemble to perform tonight

The Campbellsville University Piano Ensemble will give its spring concert tonight at 8 o'clock in The Gheens Recital Hall.  The concert is free and open to the public.    

This semester’s ensemble includes four undergraduate students: Steven Adams of Bardstown, Ky.; Colleen Ames of  Elizabethtown, Ky.; Yun Jiang of Nimbo, China and Jingying Pang of Xian, China, and four graduate students: Chia-Yin Chen, Hsin-I Guo, Shu-Hua Lin, and Hsing-Yi Tsai, all from Taiwan.  The two groups will be performing literature for four or more hands at one or two pianos. Among the music to be heard will be a Suite for piano, eight hands by Campbellsville University’s Dr. David Hedrick which he composed last year.

Other selections will be by Amy Beach, Georges Bizet, Witold Lutoslawski, Darius Milhaud, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Modest Mussorgsky, Francis Poulenc and Franz Schubert.
