'To Kill a Mockingbird' to be shown April 16
"To Kill a Mockingbird" will be shown Thursday, April 16 at 6 p.m. In the Banquet Hall. Dr. Joe Early Jr., director of the Quality Enhancement Plan and associate professor of theology, will lead post-film discussion. Admission is free and pizza and drinks will be provided with convocation credit given.
Phi Alpha Theta to host initiation; Holocaust survivor to speak
On Friday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m., Phi Alpha Theta will be hosting its initiation for new members and their families in the Russ Mobley Theater. Holocaust survivor Fred Gross will be attending as guest speaker and any one interested in attending to hear his story is welcome to come. Mr. Gross will also be signing copies of his book, "One Step ahead of Hitler" after the ceremony.
Student Activities Scholarship
Student Activities would like to thank all those who participated in the competition for the Club Scholarship of $200. There are numerous deserving organizations on campus and we are appreciative of your hard work and dedication.
This year's winner of the $200 scholarship is Phi Alpha Theta. Congratulations to those students, faculty and staff who have been involved in this organization and who continue to lead it in a successful direction.
Student Activities hopes to continue to support club activity on campus and empower new organizations to start. The future will hold many other opportunities to find support for organizations on campus.
School of Nursing has typewriter to give away
The School of Nursing has a typewriter to give away. If anyone wants they can pick up in office 119 of the School of Nursing and contact Jennifer Richerson with any questions.
