Dr. Paul Marshall, senior fellow with the Center for Religious Freedom with the Hudson Institute, to speak at KHIPP and chapel
Dr. Paul Marshall, Senior Fellow with the Center for Religious Freedom with the Hudson Institute, will be our guest on campus on Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be two opportunities to hear from and interact with this very distinguished scholar on international religious liberty and human rights issues. He literally travels the world – he emailed last week from Asia – has written hundreds of articles that are published far and wide and has written, or collaborated on more than 20 books including “Persecuted: The Global Assault on Christians” – his most recent book published in 2013.
On Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. he will be speaking on global human rights issues with an emphasis on religious liberty issues – and will discuss the plight of various religious groups and sects around the world and will discuss in some detail the threat of radical Islam – not only to those of the Christian or other faiths – but to the vast majority of the Islamic faith who are not radical jihadists. This event is in the Banquet Hall.
On Wednesday morning in Chapel, he is going to present a very compelling and moving update on the global Christian community and the persecution of the church in many areas of the world. Chapel is at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel.
These presentations are a great opportunity for the CU family to benefit and learn. Please encourage students to attend as well. This is one of those great opportunities to hear from and talk with a highly-recognized expert on these topics and a prolific writer and author on same.
