Campbellsville University will be hosting Dr. Sara Imhof, Director of Education and Grassroots Advocacy and Health Policy Analyst with The Concord Coalition in Arlington. VA on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in The Banquet Hall of the Badgett Academic Support Center. Dr. Imhof will present “Short and Long-Term Budget Trends: The Intersection of Fiscal Deadlines and Politics.” Please plan to attend and encourage students to participate. Convocation Credit will be given!
The Concord Coalition was founded in 1992 by two former United States Senators, the late Warren Rudman (R-NH) and the late Paul Tsongas (D-MA), and former Secretary of Commerce Peter G. Peterson. Prior to joining the Concord Coalition in 2008, Dr. Imhof served as a senior policy analyst for the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) health care team, focusing on Medicare quality and long-term care health policy issues. Dr. Imhof received a PhD in health management and policy from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Iowa. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in nursing, and Masters of the Arts in health promotion. Throughout her career, Dr. Imhof’s research has focused generally on aging health issues – including Medicare and Medicaid policies – specifically on end-of-life care issues, including hospice and palliative care and related policies. She has several publications in peer-review journals, including the Journal of Health Politics, Policy & Law, The Gerontologist, and the Journal of Healthcare Management.
