Dr. Wendy Wood is a Professor of History, Education and Women’s and Gender Studies.  She is the lead professor of the Social Studies area.  She is the Faculty Advisor for the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, at Campbellsville University.  She is also a University Supervisor for student teachers in Social Studies.

Dr. Wood earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education Social Studies, a Masters in History, and a graduate degree in Women’s and Gender Studies all from Western Kentucky University.  She was awarded a PhD in History from the University of Kentucky with an emphasis in Women’s and Religious History.  Her research interests include women’s history, Civil Rights, religious History and modern US History.

She has 25 years of experience teaching at the college level.  She has taught at Lindsey Wilson College and as an Adjunct in WGS at Western Kentucky University.  She has been at Campbellsville University since 2007.
