University has a rich history and tradition
in men’s tennis with several conference
championships plus teams and individuals competing
at the national level. Campbellsville University
tennis has made a name for itself in the collegiate
ranks.
Personal
Coaching
Collegiate
tennis is an individual sport played in a
team atmosphere. Realizing this, Coach Sullivan
develops each individual player according
to their individual style of play, whether
their style revolves around an “all-court,”
“serve and volley” or “baseline”
game.
Every
player is encouraged to become a more complete
and diverse player with consistency and aggression.
Training year round, Coach Sullivan focuses
on shot production, strength and conditioning,
tactics, singles and doubles strategy, and
the mental game.
Goals
For Life
Each
year the team’s goals are to win the
Mid-South Conference championship and to participate
in the NAIA national tournament. Players set
their own goals of becoming the best that
they can be, pushing themselves to the next
level. However, the main goal is to succeed
in the classroom, graduate, and to be prepared
to succeed in life after college. |
