LADY TIGER BASKETBALL TEAM RANKED 27th NATIONALLY
Campbellsville, KY - After a nearly two year absence from the NAIA National Ratings, the Campbellsville University Lady Tigers are on their way back into the national spotlight.
Campbellsville received 49 points in the NAIA’s first weekly rating of the season and is just 13 points outside the top 25 and ranked 27th.
“One of our goals is to get this program back to where it traditionally has been, and that’s in the Top 25,” said C.U. Lady Tiger Head Coach Ginger Colvin. “With some key games coming up this weekend, including 20th ranked Lambuth University on Saturday, we have the opportunity to meet that goal,” she added.
Union University (TN) is the nation’s top ranked team, receiving all 11 first place votes and 330 points. Campbellsville gave the Lady Bulldogs a scare in Jackson, Tennessee last week in a 77-73 loss.
Campbellsville hosts the Citizen’s Bank Classic this weekend. The Lady Tigers will play Shawnee State at 6:00 p.m. on Friday followed by Lindsey Wilson playing Lambuth at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday Campbellsville will face Lambuth at 2:00 p.m. followed by Lindsey Wilson and Shawnee State at 4:00 p.m.
