CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY DINNER THEATER BY
BAPTIST CAMPUS MINISTRY IS PLANNED FEB. 19

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University’s Baptist Campus Ministry will host its 16th annual dinner theater Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in Winters Dining Hall, 410 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
The dinner theater is an event BCM organizes to bring in students, faculty, staff, family and friends to raise awareness and funds to support CU student mission work, according to Ed Pavy, director of campus ministries.
Pavy said the dinner theater is a night that BCM council members plan themselves. “They each find ways to use their creative talents to glorify God and fellowship with others,” he said. This school year BCM has sent out five teams of 56 students during the fall semester to national and international missions. BCM plans to send out four to six teams over spring break.
Pavy said, “Money raised over the past 15 years has been utilized to send students around the world and to every continent except Antarctica -- we’re working on that!”
At the dinner theater, the creative ministries team will be performing different skits they have performed over the year. Students will share stories about their past mission trip experiences and the impact the dinner theater has had on providing students funding to support their mission trips.
Garett Lowery of Mount Washington, Ky., BCU president, will speak on the theme of BCM this year, which is “Enthusiasm” and what they have accomplished.
Tiffany Ramos of Walton, Ky., missions coordinator, said, “The dinner theater has always been a great way to share with everyone the impact that mission trips make and how important raising funds are to missions.”
“Mission trips are a great way to be servants and share the gospel; if anyone is unable to go on a trip, donating money is a great way to contribute and send someone else in your place,” she said.
Tickets for the dinner theater cost $15 each or $25 per couple; tickets will be on a first-serve, first-come basis. Deadline for tickets is Feb. 12. Pioneer College Caterers Inc. will cater the meal, and the council members will provide the entertainment.
“This is a great evening planned to celebrate missions and allow people a chance to become involved,” Pavy said.
