Dr. Michelle Tucker receives promotion

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Michelle Tucker, assistant professor of social work at Campbellsville University, has been promoted to associate professor of social work, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

Tucker of Campbellsville has served as a faculty member of Campbellsville University’s Carver School of Social Work since 2008. She is an alumna of Campbellsville University having received a bachelor of social work in 1998.

Tucker has also taught at the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville, where she received a master of science in social work in 2004, and a doctorate in social work in 2008. Her dissertation was titled, “Predictors of Critical Thinking as a Component of an Outcomes Assessment in a Graduate level School of Social Work.”

She is a 1989 graduate of Taylor County High School.

Tucker served as social service clinician for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in Campbellsville from 1999 to 2005.

She and her husband, Frank, have two children, Joshua and Sydney.
