Bill Guffey, an artist from Burkesville in Cumberland County, Ky., explains his Google images to
two of his art students, from left, Pattie Bryant of Burkesville, and Nancy Norris of Albany, during
his opening reception. His work is on display at the Pence-Chowning Art Gallery through Sept. 12.

Dr. John Chowning, left, talks with Bill Guffey, an artist from Cumberland County, which is
Chowning's native home. They were discussing the middle painting, Chowning's favorite. The
art work will be on display at the Pence-Chowning Art Gallery, 205 University Drive, through
Sept. 12. The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery is named after Chowning, vice president for church
and external relations andexecutive assistant to the president at Campbellsville University,
