CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Susan Tesseneer-Street, a photographer and writer, has been employed at Campbellsville University as an instructor in the art department at CU and as an assistant in development, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.
Tesseneer-Street will be in charge of assisting the art department in various art courses, in management and organization of the Art Gallery and future planning activities.

She will also secure additional annual and major gifts for the art department and Campbellsville University, assistant in the development of specific annual and campaign goals and objectives and help establish a Friends of the Visual Arts organization.
Tesseneer-Street has served as a teacher, retail owner, a portrait artist, fine art photographer, writer, author and newspaper columnist.
She graduated from Southeast Missouri University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and has worked on her master’s degree. She ran a business until 2002 when she went to Harvard to study English and writing.
She has held many one woman art exhibits and was awarded “Best in Men’s Portraits” and “Best in Show” over a four statewide competition. She posed and lit the portraits mostly with window light or only very soft lighting, much like she does oil portraits.
She belongs to Who’s Who in American Women, Professional Photographers of America, Citizens for the Arts in Missouri, Missouri Arts Council and National Writer Association. She was a charter member of the Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.
She is the mother of two sons, Robert and Ralph Street. Her brother is Dr. Ralph Tesseneer, former vice president for development at CU, of Campbellsville.
