CU's Dr. Wesley Roberts helps Elizabethtown Community Choir

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.-- Campbellsville University’s Dr. Wesley Roberts, professor of music, is helping the Elizabethtown Area Sacred Community Choir in its 10th season program with performances March 5 and 6.

The theme for this year’s performance is “Melodious Milestones” and is free and open to the public.

The first choir performance will be Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown. The second performance is Sunday, March 6 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown.

The performance will include 10-year favorites and the world premier of Resurrection Requiem, which was created for TEASCC.

Roberts’ wife, Sida Hodoroaba-Roberts, is the founder and director of TEASCC. Roberts is the primary accompanist to the choir while Hodoroaba-Roberts is conductor to the group of volunteer singers from around the Elizabethtown, Ky. area.

Hodoroaba-Roberts is from France where she was trained at the Sorbonne. She is also affiliated with the Ministry of Congregational Singing and the Hymn Society.
